I'm now in Kuching for over a week already and things have been pretty well. Sometimes boring but I better gather all the rest I need before i start a new semester. Anyway, this blogpost will require your participation. That's right, yours truly.

Trip to Melaka 2011
Just got back from the trip to Melacca. Well not exactly just got back but i slept for 6 hours and i just woke up. It was a tiring but a fun filled trip. Although we didn't get to sit some of the boat rides in such 2 days one night short trip but it was worth while. Disappointment
Everyone has their glorious times and also bad and disappointing times. For now, it is my disappointing moment. My practical training didn't go well, lecturers gave bad comments and i knew why and had already prepared for it. From the starting of the sem, I've begun to realized and found out that my group mates were different after beginning to work with them. I don't think this is blaming others but i'm disappointed at my group mates because they've certainly pulled down my potential in this practical semester. No doubt my artwork this semester was the worst in my point of view and I could've done better. I've let my committed lecturers down this sem. But getting back my grip, I will continue to have passion and work harder for next semester in animation field. Will try my best to improve.
I'm so relieved this semester is over and a long break awaits me =) Eventhough there are bad times in life, I still thank the Lord that i'm still alive in this world, and that's the greatest gift of them all. And i hope that whoever i'm working with next semester will be good and reliable.

JayessLee LIVE in CHCKL
Woke up in the morning eager to know that i'm going to meet the awesome Jayesslee in City Harvest Church Kuala Lumpur. I didn't go for their concert yesterday because the tickets were too expensive for me but CHC invited them to perform, so i got a free performance and autographs and a photo with them! Ain't that awesome. =D
For those of you guys who don't know who these girls are, they're a youtube sensation all over the world through their good harmonizing voice and positive personalities. Not forgetting they're twins and both beautiful and the best part is that they're fervent christians for God. they would share their life stories during the concert to many non believers and you know wat, today many non believers, possibly by the hundreds went out to receive Christ. Amazing how God works through them.

Celebrities
Today i followed two of my friends to a meet and greet with "laughing gor" and Ruco, both basically famous tvb actors. Well, two of my friends were so overwhelmed by their presence that even by touching their hands, they both cried. I didn't know much to do but to help record the meet and greet. And yes of course, mostly girls are there. But to see both of my friends happily talking bout it after the whole thing makes me wonder wat would i be like if my favourite celebrities came. Would i be as crazy as them or worst? Haha, we'll just have to wait and find out.

IDEAS
Good or Bad ideas. I never know.
But usually the decisions that i made has always been good decisions at that point of time. Now recently i've been having some awesome ideas IMO(In my opinion), just that two things are obstructing these ideas.
1.Don't know where to start, no knowledge or headers.
2.No time for it. Yet.
Well, these few days i've been getting excited over some of the ideas i'm having which causes sleepless nights. Good sleepless nights i must say because i'm a guy exploding with ideas. Let me see... i guess all i need now is a dedicated team with me. So who's with me?

Can't wait for BRE \-- ----/AK
Yesh break is just around the corner but i dread having to present my group's work this coming final. Things weren't just turning out well, many problems to troubleshoot, many things to screen test before production. Boy.... and it does sure look like i'm doing a three person team's work because of lack of skill of my teammates. I don't blame them, some people can't take the stress like i do. Tell you a little secret yea, i find strength in the Lord, that is wat is keeping me always pushing on.
Putting the negativity aside, the optimistic part about all this is that i learn a lot. troubleshooting some 3D stuff has got me more familiar with the softwares and efficient ways to do my work. I just hope that final will go well.
Oh and i'm also thinking bout going to Melaka and then stop by at Johor then ride over to Singapore and i believe New York as well. =D New York would be all expenses paid. Oh yea baby!!!

Dare you to move

Today the sermon in church was a little different. The pastor was a farmer's son so he likes to plant flowers and trees. He taught the church about the parable of the seed sower. Some fell on thorns where it choked the seed, some on the road where the birds came and picked it off the ground and some on good soil where it bear fruits 100 times,60 times or 30 times. Thinking about where have i landed. You know sometimes in life all we gotta do is obey God's word and he'll lead you to grow into a huge tree that bear fruits that it's own vine can't handle. So plentiful. Now here's the question, where have you landed my dear readers?
My past is wat made me think and appreciate wat i have today. Sometimes there are things in the past where i felt like getting it fix and amended but it's too late i suppose. Miracles are happening everywhere and i can't wait for God to unfold the biggest yet.
Can't wait for the Plural + results. Hope my team and i gets first and off to New York!

Night Owl
Sometimes at night i don't feel like sleeping. I like to think about stuff and always wondered what my future would be like. I can't see the future though nor do i know what i'm getting myself into but i do know that as long as i stick with God, He'll unfold wondrous plans for me. Same goes to you, yes you my dearly beloved. God has plans for you. Sometimes i wish time would fly faster cause i can't wait to get out into the working world, it'll be lots of fun for me as animators tend to go "haywire".

EPIC
This is my favourite word " EPIC". My mind plays with itself every now and then where epic moments draftly gets imaginated out by this mind of mine. Like dodging bullets and rockets in slow moooooo..... tiiioonnnn. And doing backflips together with huge explosions. Super light rays shining through broken walls and then the wall collapses and an epic background shines through. All these things comes into my mind every now and then. I love EPIC stuff. And a good epic story must be accompanied by epic soundtracks. You guys can watch transformers or green lantern to know wat i mean. The kind of orchestra playing with a choir behind singing oh oh oh oh....then boom! big old explosion.
Currently thinking of a story for a movie i'm going to film end of this year (Early November to be exact). Any ideas? Hm... will keep you guys posted for this epic story. =)

Something about the other GENDER
Now recently, a lot of things has been happening, exhibitions, conferences and practical training aka work. Doing a project that's going to be awesome in my POV but not sure how it'll turn out to be. Anyways, within this month alone, i've opened my eyes to the other gender, yes... the female. Things that really irritates and annoys me have never been felt so much in this month alone. Usually i'll let these things slip by but hey why not put it down in my blog so you guys will know wat kind of guy i am eh? So i start with
5 things i find annoying about the other gender :
1) Sometimes they're a party pooper. For example, they say they wanna do something or go somewhere and ends up all grouchy and ruins everyones mood.
2) Being over conservative gets on my nerve. Sometimes too polite eventhough we're friends.
3) Goes out with you but never walks together instead walks either way behind or way in front doing own girl stuff.
4) Tries to give an answer indirectly. I mean you can be straight forward with me rather than give lame excuses.
5) Finds you only for help and after that, they're half way around the world.
6) Hey hey how're you? long time no see. But in the end, doesn't reply ur msn or smses.
Oh wait... there's already more than 5 points here. They're lots more but i'll save that for myself. All the negativity... Well, here are some good ones.
5 things i want my gf to have :
1) Loves God no matter what. Even more than me.
2) Involves in church and cares for others other than herself.
3) Keep track of me in terms of spiritually and physically. Lol
4) Loves her parents
5) Put God first in everything.
And so, this is something i've been thinking about awhile. Feel free to comment.

Wei Ling Contemporary - SUCCESS!!
Kuala Lumpur, 7 September, 2011 - UCSI University’s students from the School of Design showcased their artwork to the industry and members of the public in a star-studded occasion held at the Wei-Ling Contemporary Gallery, The Gardens Mid-valley. De Style Art & Design Show 2011, co-organised by the University’s 3D Animation and Fashion students, was themed “Art Meets Technology” and featured some of their best pieces to some of the top individuals in the Design industry.
According to the Dean for the Faculty of Music, Social Sciences and Design, Associate Professor Dr Irene Tan Ai Lian, the event was not only meant to expose the students to the industry. “With UCSI University moving towards becoming a Praxis University, we are moving the boardroom into the classroom. In this way, students are able to tap directly into the industrial practices by having industry members on hand to guide them.”
Lim Wei-Ling, the owner and Gallery Director for Wei-Ling Contemporary Gallery declared her support and appreciation of the students’ artwork. “It’s important to nurture and educate our local youths who have passion for art and design. Today’s event showed that with a little bit of guidance and encouragement, our young artists can shine.”
Aside from several couture pieces, the Design students also featured digital and canvas artworks, impressing many members of the public and industry experts. Jonathan Sum, a digital artist attached with the MSC-Status company, VHQ, said that the University’s exhibition was one of the best he had seen done by youths. “I’ve been to several exhibitions done by institutions of higher learning, but UCSI University’s is one of the best so far. The artwork seems to have been done by more matured and experienced people, and not by first or second year students,” he said.
Dato’ Peter T. S. Ng, Founder of UCSI University and Chairman for the UCSI Group also graced the event. “Today’s event was the culmination of what technology and creativity could produce.” In appreciation of the students’ artwork, Dato’ Peter pledged to feature them in the 5-star hotels that are being developed by the UCSI Group. “Our School of Design is already an award-winning school, and I hope that they will continue to cultivate this culture of excellence.”
I thank God for all the good things in my life even if bad things comes my way, i'll continue to praise Him for He will forever be my God, my Father.

Done with the semester
I'm officially done with the semester and can't wait to go back Kuching. Recently a lot has been happening, as in A LOT and they're all good things. I thank the Lord for his everyday's goodness,grace and favor upon me eventhough i always fall short.
I received an email from Plural +, the film organizer for this year's youth festival which would be held in new york. It is quite huge and it's international. My team and I have been shortlisted for pre-selection out of a few hundred and now we're entering final decision. It was a heart pounding moment when i saw the email in my inbox and I thank the Lord for good news. =)

Time that i can take off just for myself
Well, now it's pretty late and this is the only time i can take off just for myself to relax and enjoy. A few more hours later, i would be having a presentation for my final for editing,composition and after effects. I pray that God would grant me favor in everyone's eyes as i present my artwork.
Anyway, i'm really really glad that one of my work was chosen by the lecturer. Animation to be exact to exhibited this coming early september in "WeiLing Gallery" and this is their website.

If i'm not mistaken, this gallery is only open to professional artist and it's a true privilege to be able to showcase my animation there. Only well known ppl are able to have a slot and not all professionals can exhibit. So God has been really good to me, although i wanted my advanced modeling work to be showcased as well but it wasn't chosen. I still thank God for everything. So right now am i consider a professional in wat i do? :) It certainly a good portfolio for me to brag about when finding a job.

An update OMG! =D
So recently been super busy as usual with projects. Just finished three presentation finals, that was animation, public speaking and basic photography. I'm glad my animation went well with good comments to improve certain parts. Hopefully i will get selected to exhibit my work in midvalley early september.
An amazing thing happened to me yesterday, although it may not seem like a miracle but i believe God is superb. I was running out of cash and in a state of emergency. Leaving RM41 in my bank account, ATMs rejected my withdrawal, did a simple prayer and all of the sudden, i was able to withdraw RM30 from the same ATM that rejected. How amazingly simple God can be. So last night i couldn't sleep cause of the excitement of presentation and stress torture of having to think that my advance modeling could not be done by Tuesday.
For the first time i was so worried for my assignments because these are very important assignments. Anyways will upload my animation and advance modeling up pretty soon. Stay tune, i'm sure you guys will enjoy it. Stay tune.

There's more to life than this
Yesterday, i joined the youth for a trip to HUKM hospital for ministry work. This is my second time in this hospital and i can say i've grown much bolder sharing Christ to the sick. Sometimes it's these little things that delights our Lord. My friends and i went to the 6th floor which was the high dependency unit and other wads with different sickness. I felt led by the Holy Spirit to go there.
Many people just boast and aren't always contented with what they have, but from what i've seen, the patients in HUKM just wants healing and miracle healing can only be done by our God. Our team of youth faced rejection from several people and wads but we did manage to pray for a few. What's really encouraging is that some people felt touch as we prayed for them. Sometimes, we don't have to share about Jesus directly because i don't see that working much in this era. But instead, we are to act like Christ. A simple wipe on the table for the uncle who can't stand to make sure his place is clean can indeed show the love of Christ to him. I believe many seeds have been sowed. I'm just waiting for the harvest. =)
There's more to life than spending ur day at home watching dramas and playing games. Eat, sleep, play. Do not forget that God has made you perfect in his eyes for a reason.
I pray that many youths and people have already open their eyes that hey!~ There is still hope when Jesus is around. =) Good news is, He will be around forever and ever.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa
So the new sem has already started and i've been swarmed with assignments already. This semester is crucial for me because i'm taking 6 subjects which not many students has done before because it's going to be really heavy. I've just finished one of my advance modeling exercise which was to model out the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I am quite happy and proud about it.
Except it isn't leaning. XD So recently, i've gotten rashes over my body. Went to see the doctor and he said it was because of the weather and allergy to dust. So the weather's been really bad and hazy lately and I thank God for the recent rain. Please keep me in prayers so i will always be healthy. =)

New Life, New Beginning in a New place
Well, not exactly new but today i just received my spiritual membership to be part of New Life Restoration Centre after attending the class. I am now officially part of the church here. Although it's been a year and only now that i'm really officially part of this awesome place God has put me in. I'm thanking God for everything that i've been through, ups and downs sure help me grow quicker. =)
Recently, i just finished my modeling as well, did some final touches although i knew i can do more but i guess i'm done with it.
Yea so this is my final modeling. Some parts were hard but there's still many to improve in. Mine is rather plain and it may seem simple but it's not.
Will be going back to Kuching really soon, can't wait to see my family and friends once again.
Besides that, i'm actually thinking whether to be straight-forward enough to discipline my friends about certain matters as it is because i love them. Is study more important than God? I guess i don't want to offend but let God do the judging, i've done my part and will continue to pray for the lost. =( It saddens me sometimes to see such precious lives just go to waste. It is a tough world to live in eh? Attractions are always pleasuring the flesh. These things are only temporary my dear readers.
All i can tell you people out there is that
"Jesus is the only way,the truth and the light to salvation.There's no other ways"

I guess i don't want to offend but let God do the judging, i've done my part and will continue to pray for the lost. =( It saddens me sometimes to see such precious lives just go to waste. It is a tough world to live in eh? Attractions are always pleasuring the flesh. These things are only temporary my dear readers.

Aftermath
After a devastating nuclear war, emission of radiated particles transcends around the globe killing many lives. The population is minimal, those who survive... might not live long either. Cause many of the survivors have turned into zombies.

Sleeping most of my DAYS through (NOT!)
Boy have i gotten seriously busy after awhile my last blog post was up. Tell you guys what i've been working on.
1. A short film that's 8-10 minutes.
2. A short film 3-5 minutes.
3. Matte painting
4. Modeling of an interior.
5. Magazine design.
It may sound easy but it's tough and time consuming. Have been spending many hours in the 3D lab and outside video shooting. The satisfaction is great but to achieve that, effort has to be put in as well. 7am - 9.30pm at night. You do the math. =D Well, tomorrow will be another full day finishing up my assignments before next week's final submission date. God bless me :)
Here's our commercial done as well. I'm really proud of this because we had 0 budget and we came out with a production somewhat near professional.
Here's my latest short film. We did a great job. It's no hollywood movie. This is our style, inspiration and creativity. This short film requires a little more thinking as well cause the scenes are symbolic. =D Enjoy. We worked hard on this.
Time passes really fast, i sometimes stop and think about the past and true enough missing the moments back then. I've forgotten what it's like to be younger again. Bring me back to the past please?
God, I pray that time will come faster.

Do not worry
Many things are happening in this world right now. The major events happen when ppl least expects them. Recently, Japan has been hit by the largest tsunami with an 8.9 score. As i watched youtube just now in Alex's room when the waves were closing in, i think to myself... where's God in all this havoc? And you know what? I totally understand.
God has always been there for us, no matter the circumstances. The world would fade, but his word will remain. Even the heaven and Earth would end but God will always be there. For those of you who are in trouble or fear, let me tell you something. God is and will always be there for you. How can i be so sure? Well, that's his PROMISE! All you gotta do is pray.
I sense that the end is really near. It's like it's creeping at my doorstep. I do fear for the pain that's coming but his word tells me that trust in the Lord. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about himself.
Did you know God made us in such a way that even our body praises him. Take for example a protein molecule, Laminin. Laminin is said to be one of the many protein molecules that hold our bonds together. Without Laminin, our cells don't hold together. Take a look at this.
And this is laminin my dear readers. Amazing huh? This is only part of what i can share to you.
As i flipped through the book in revelations chapter 14. I found a verse that really touched me.
14:13 I heard the voice from heaven saying, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them."

Faith like Potatoes - Movie

Last night i was watching a christian movie called Faith like Potatoes. It's about a farmer who has a temper, reluctant to hear about the church, works day and night just to raise his family. One thing that inspired me most is that it's based on a true story and to think that some great miracles that were shown in the movie were actually part of the story is just amazing. How God works in many of us, use us as vessels to witness to others. It's truly an inspiring movie and i urge you guys who's reading this to watch it. Movies like this don't come out very often anymore as the world is slowly changing and becoming more and more manipulative. What is common to the world now is consider "Right" if you get what i mean. I certainly won't wanna tell you more or i'll ruin the movie for you(spoiler).
Just recently, many problems arose from my friends. Mostly dealing with relationships. I find it rather hard as well and i can feel what they're going through. If only they knew God and trust Him, all things would be made well in Him. IF ONLY... they humble themselves to pray and seek God, getting rid of all ignorance and just believe, I'm sure God would answer their prayers. He has greater plans than what they already have in mind. Plans far beyond our expectations. God called us to be in this place, in this family, with these friends for a reason.
This is because God loves you. That's right, YOU.

Chinese New Year Blessings!!!
GONG XI FA CAI!!!! And of course here comes the angpows.
Chinese New Year isn't about angpows for me but it's about reunion with family and friends. It's a little quiet for me this year because some of my good buddies can't join us for house to house visiting but nevertheless, the others still made the time worth while. =)
I see Chinese New Year differently this year. God opened my eyes to see that everyone has their own perfect culture. From wat i've learnt in the bible, God put us in each place, career and even culture for a reason. I'm glad i'm a Chinese and living in Malaysia. There must be some importance of my existence, not forgetting you guys who are reading my blog right now that you play an important role by just standing where you actually are. Do not forget this, but cherish every moment of it.
Just yesterday, my mum was sick with sore throat and that her mood went really down. It was early Chinese New Year and pharmacies weren't open and even Guardian didn't have a pharmacist inside. What we could do was to pray. A simple prayer that my mum would be healed and we're off to find any opened pharmacy. On the way, I felt God speaking to me suddenly as my dad and I were finding a pharmacy. God said this " Do not worry, ask your dad to drive back home, your mum would be healed tomorrow." I had my doubts and kept silent until my dad and I could only find cough medicine and panadol. I believe God was testing my faith in Him and that i should keep practicing my faith in Him. He wants us to trust Him and place Him in the center of our lives. So i urge you all to try this, if you're having any troubles, say a simple prayer.
It's easy! For example if you're sick : God please heal my sickness, In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Believe and you'll be healed. Amen means I agree/believe/entrust.
Oh btw, my mum is recovering quickly from her sore throat =) It's times like this we can entrust our Father in Heaven.

It's Early Chinese New Year
Ah yes, as you all have noticed, my blog has changed it's theme once again. Hope you guys like this new cny theme, cause it took me awhile to do the background.
Anyways, can't wait for CNY!!! Firecrackers, angpows, visitations and lots and lots of gunpowder to sniff in. HAHA, i've been busy recently with a lot of assignment. Dealing with UCSI course selection problem since day one i entered UCSI KL. It's not my fault this time!!! But still, the authorities always win. But i ain't giving up because my time and effort has been put into presentations and assignments.
So yea, put the problems aside, i'm really excited this sem because i finally get to fiddle with the 3D animation studio computers. Learning 3D modeling, matte painting and so many other interesting subjects. =) Ahhhh, this is the life of an animator. I can say i learn pretty quick modeling simple objects like table, chairs and a whiteboard. Which took me less than half an hour. But for more advance modeling, baah.... i'm not too sure.
Anyways, thanks for visiting my blog once again. Appreciate every blog visit. God bless

A Note for my Birthday
I'm just really glad God brought wonderful friends into my life that every wish from each individual friend sparks a good feeling inside of me. I'm grateful for my parents who brought me into this world to see the works of the miracle Maker.
