2011 - Rear view mirror

I've always thought that you can see God's hands best in the rear view mirror. Looking back at the year 2010, it's easier to understand why He placed me in the home that He did. Why He brought certain people and circumstances into and out of my life. Why He permitted certain difficulties and pain and why He took me to different places and put us in different position and even career.

In my own life, I received much clarity upon God's hands in my life about the wise and loving ways of God as i reflect on the ways He has managed my journey in the year 2010. He has managed my journey by "the works of His hands".

Looking ahead, though, is not always so clear. Have you ever had that lost feelings when the road ahead seems twisted, foggy and scary? Well, i have. Before you move into the year 2011, STOP and LOOK at the rear view mirror of the year gone by, and joyfully realise that God meant it when He said " I will never leave you nor forsake you". So we may boldly say "The Lord is my helper, I will not fear".

With promise of God's presence and help in mind, you too can move into 2011 with utmost confidence. I'm prepared, are you?

God's guidance in the past gives courage for the future.

Seasons passing - Living Hope

Time sure flies when i'm having the time of my life back here with my family and friends. Christmas was a little different this year, i nvr really cared much bout christmas but this year i've decided to embedded a giving spirit. The looks and charms when people smile as they received my presents sure are priceless. I say giving is better than receiving. XD

Got my dad a hifi grade system and mum two cute soft textured pouch like thingy. Haha, i just wanna show some appreciation after all this year they've raised me up. Christmas this year is gonna be in my book of memories. Today pastor preached about the living hope, sad to hear that so many ppl are feeling lost in hope and committing suicide. Hope is never lost when you know the One who is alive and wants to give us hope for a better living. Sometimes i wonder how can some people be always happy and cheerful all the time, well... this proves they've understand hope.

Suffering = Perseverance = Character = Hope

So i say, just hang in there cause all is not lost.

Have a Blessed Christmas people!

Back in Kuching Dec 10'

Gonna miss you guys

Finally back to my lovely hometown, Kuching. Reached on the 15th and now it's the 20th. Been spending my time with family and friends. Just yesterday, i had a gathering with all my good buddies at delizze, a western restaurant. It's so nice to see all my good friends once again, reminiscing crazy times we spent together.

Then it started to rain heavily, some of us decided to hit the karaoke studio. XD EnterK was having some sorta promotion i guess cause it's sing all you want until 2am for RM9.90 including drinks for each person. Awesome, so we went. Here are some photos.

Today was a worried day for me. I was about to have my first surgery to remove a cist on the right side of my face. Had to get it removed or else it'll turn cancerous. Anyways, it was heart pounding as i waited for my queue to enter the surgical room. Could hear the surgeon laser-ing the person's flesh. LOL!!! Once it was my turn, a simple prayer that everything would go smoothly and then i'm off into the room. Inside the surgical room, i think the surgeon injected 3 Local Anesthetic on my face and it freaking hurts.... there weren't any meat on my face so u know how it felt when the injection needle went through. OUCH!!! Then in a split second my face was numb.

Before i know it, the surgery was done in less than 20 minutes. I saw my "ex-part of my body meat" and they left it in a bottle for lab testing. Now my next worry is that it doesn't contain any infected cells then i'm alright. =)

Overall, it all went smoothly. Blades and sharp knives cutting my skin. XD Truly an experience.

Merry Christmas!

From Me to You
Yesterday night, my housemates and i went to pavilion to check out the christmas decorations. It was good as always. Huge christmas trees and bubble snow falling from the sky. Nice crystal chandeliers hung from the top and everything was golden, red and green. I even had a chance to take some really nice photos that became part of my photography portfolio as well as my favourites.

After that we went to try out taiwan snowflakes. Some taiwan dessert with weird toppings like glutinous rice soup. Yea... i had one of those and it sucks.  Here are some photos!!!

It's the Jolly Yule time again

Can't wait for christmas to knock at my doorstep, and i've done a total makeover for my blog especially for this coming festive season. I really hope this year's christmas would be really special. Planning to spend it with some of my good buddies back in Kuching. =D Gifts exchanging and maybe overnight somewhere far from home.

I've changed my playlist songs to some of my favourite christmas songs. Not forgetting that our Saviour was born to this Earth to save mankind. Although it's never stated in the bible when was he actually born, but christmas day does bring the symbolic meaning for me. Thank God for everything.

Ahhhhh, can't wait for Kuching to snow!!! Haha =D

The days gone by

My workplace

Recently, i've been really busy with work. Boss kept me until late night around 10.30pm. Just had to work overtime but i didn't like it. I thought the workers/employees gets to choose whether to stay back and work or not. But in my case, i was kinda forced too. Didn't like it because i didn't have time for a healthy lifestyle. Where had all my time for gym and exercise gone to? This is really a lifeless job. I do understand that my boss had to get things done fast and urgent because we have two big projects and it's due on 26 November 2010. I do hope i also get paid well for all my efforts and 4 hours sleeps. Parents said to don't mind the money, but after all i've been through, i deserve a well pay. I rather not gain experience than to get paid less.

I apologize for not updating my blog cause everytime i get back, i would be really tired to type since i've been typing and editing whole day. Pfftt... But anyway, there are sure some things i thank God for. I thank God for giving me a job that's able to allow me to be off on Saturday and Sunday. I thank God for the experience. and I thank God for everything else.

In my work, i've found rejections, accusations all falling unto me. I think God is probably trying to teach me tolerance and patience. But sometimes it gets me heated up but i controlled it or else i'll just make a fool out of myself (Ever sweared in my heart). Ahhh, i can't wait to just go back Kuching and spend the good old days with my friends. I just wan to relax and serve God that's all.

*it's not very often ppl hear me complain. Or is this complaining? Haha*

I'm happy. =)

Happy Meal

Giant Duck

Today i've finally realised that having breakfast, lunch and dinner are the happiest moments when you're working. After long hours sitting on the office chair which mine was a little too small for me (backaches), i noticed that my smile came only when i see my food coming. It's like yay! You get to be full and no more work for that one hour.

But anyways, working isn't that boring anymore now that my friend is also working part time with me. Last time i had to make friends with pencils, chairs and tables which i couldn't fit in cause they didn't care bout me. Haha, i had awesome dinner tonight. A giant duck greeted me on the front entrance of this duck restaurant. It was huge and so convincing that the restaurant had good quality duck.

It's delicious man!!!

As good looking as the giant plastic duck was, the food was also mouth-watering. My boss ordered a set menu which came with herbal duck, orginal duck, tofu duck and duck vegetables. There wasn't any duck in the tofu and vegetables, i was just exaggerating. =D Anyways, it was delicious and i was happy after a long day's work.

I'm starting to make eating one of my hobby. =)

Kota Kemuning New Life Restoration Centre

Yesterday i spent my day serving God by helping out in a kids community work. Lots of different kids despite religion backgrounds came to New Life Restoration church in Shah alam. The kids were super hyperactive... 12 years old and below. They run around non-stop, tried to grab our attention until we showed them a stern face then they would stop but continue running again after 5 minutes. God loves the little children and that's why they're precious in God's eye so it's our duty to portray a good role model for them to follow. We should take up this responsibility to nurture and guide them to the right path.

You won't wanna see ur kid spending his doing something that's not right in God's eyes right? =D Anyways, i skipped my lunch because i was excited to snap photos for the event. The smiles i captured were all just so meaningful. My wish for them is that one day they'll grow up to be successful and to live by Christ-likeness.

It was a good mission trip that somehow gave each and everyone of us new experience on how to control kids. Haha, it takes awhile. It was in a mess at first but all turned out good. Kids are just so so innocent. They listen to you so attentively when something attracts them on stage. They even participate so well after warming up with some praise and worship lead by Su En and Su Jane (sisters). Kids love the songs and danced along. =)

Won't wanna keep u waiting, here are some photos i took.

Singing "I lean" with dance moves

Ain't that adorable? Picking group colour

Jesus once said, " Let the little children come to me". Just looking at their laughters are just awesome and heart warming. Hope u felt that too.

Counter-strike Challenge

Today, i went to my uni to finish up my final assignment and YAY!!! It's finished. Saw one of my coursemate (Iranian) doing his assignment as well. Knew him for few weeks now and i heard him talking about CS. So i asked him about CS. He was so happy that someone shared the same language. He challenged me and he promised that i would quit CS after playing with him. From the sound of it, i was losing confidence inside.Anyways, we saddled up and head to Dotcom cybercafe for a quick game.

His name in CS was extremely long like one of those pros. I died the first 4 rounds because his Sniper was really accurate. Then i thought to myself... this is gonna end like how i thought it would be, that is me losing. So i just took it as a challenge and experience. I also remembered some advices given from CS pros i knew that is to play safe and smart. A quick prayer and then i'm off trying my best to beat him. Cybercafe mouse was slimy and sticky but i still tried my best.

Here are the results :

Overall, i won all three matches. It's my second real live LAN challenge where my first challenge i won as well. Had some new experiences. One of my CS pro fren used to tell me " Play safe, play smart".

Royal Selangor Pewter

Today was the day i've been waiting for, to get out of my room and to the outside world be it field trip, shopping or watching movies. Yes, today i went to Royal Selangor Pewter. It's my second time going into the factory but there's a lot of first timers. I joined my foundation coursemates and lecturer, Miss Irene to venture in this field trip. Not forgetting JJ,Canpei and Cici (degree classmates) came along as well.

Crafting

My pewter bowl design

We had lots of fun making our own pewter bowl, it was hard but anyway we did it and were satisfied. We had tea after that and OH, i gotta say this. The food in the canteen is very expensive. RM10 for a chicken rice?? I bet even the chicken is small in portion. And so i was telling everyone the chicken rice's price and Miss Irene offered to buy for me but it's RM10!! Anyways, Thanks Miss Irene =)

After that we got to keep the apron we used while crafting the pewter and we had a group photo. At least it was a productive day for me.

*smiles*

Lazy Thursday

Today i just don't feel like doing anything but to sleep, wake up, eat, play games and back to sleeping again. I've decided to take a full break from things and enjoy myself while preparing to get back into the world. Today, goodie goodie Zac said he wanted to treat us to pizza so we ordered two large domino pizzas, chicken crunchy which is tomyam flavour which is new on the menu and chocolate indulgence, chocolate-y brownie-like desert Yum!

All these food had made me forgotten about not too long ago (two days ago), bad stuff happened to me. First, i accidentally lock the church's main door when i thought i knew how to open it up when it was for prayer meeting service on Wednesday. Little did i know that one of the door locks were no more in-use cause it was spoilt, I turned the key and it couldn't retract back it's clutch on the door. So i locked us outside the church. Felt really guilty to pastor and to the other elders.

Secondly, Yesterday was music practice, was really looking forward to it. I was duty on the bass guitar, so when i reached, turned on the bass amplifier, no sound came out. I think the magnet was spoilt or something. All this in two days. I dread to think what my pastor would tell me, " HAR?!?!? YOU AGAIN AR?" But that won't happen because my pastor is a merciful and loving pastor.

Overall i still thank God eventhough these unforseen situations happen. I'm still happy =) I snapped some photos of Zac treating us to pizza.

First Bak Kut Teh

Missing Kuching :O

Yes, today I'm feeling so blessed because my church members took me out to eat bak kut teh for dinner just now. It's the first bak kut teh i ever eat in KL. It's delicious with all the pork fat and fried stuff and i ate eggs with double yoke in them. Tasty yum!!! Somehow, i think God blesses me everytime i'm obedient don't ya think?? Cause Logan the guitarist that was on duty for tonight's prayer meeting went to Indonesia so I replaced him and i got a yummy delicious dinner. Thank God for all the good stuff eh? =)

Prayer meeting was great cause everyone shared their feelings and i get to hear mature people talk and i learn new things as well from pastor who chaired the meeting.

Well, i'm looking for a part-time job now because mum says i have to work my ticket back to Kuching and since i have one month free, i'd work and earn some money so i won't burden my parents too much. Praying for a good job.

Goodnight People

Butt Hurts @*#%$#!!!!

Today I spent my time riding bicycle in a park and taking pictures with Abigail and her brother. Abigail needed to finish her photography assignment so i was there to lend a helping hand. Her dad came to pick me at around 2pm and i stayed at her house playing PS2 game - Dynasty Warrior 5 with her brother while waiting for the sun to settle.

Around 4pm, we headed out to the park with bicycles.... and boy did my butt hurt. It's been a long time since i've ridden a bike. Since the day i got my car license, i stopped and sold my bicycle to someone... So yea... My butt and legs hurt but it was awesome especially i almost crashed into a tree in the park. =)

Helped Abi to take some pictures and after that, I had to take some motivation of my own to take some pictures. Here ya go

Genting Trip!!

Well, It's been an awesome trip cause it was my first time going to genting. My parents brought me there before but that was when i was really small so i lost that part of my awesome memory. This time round, i went with my housemates, Horng Yih and Alex. Horng Yih brought another three friends so i met new friends as well. We woke up at 7am in the morning, decided to have breakfast but failed cause Horng Yih needed to pass up his assignment. Starting off was bad already when i realised i forgot to bring my camera battery. Haha, imagine me taking out my camera and tried snapping but there wasn't any power. Sucks...

Anyway, we ended up in KL sentral not long after that and had subway for our breakfast. That's where i met up with Horng Yih's friends. I guess i'll let the pictures do more talking. Here you go.

Turkey and chicken breast meat!

Pretty lights outside check in counter

Our check in number was 0527 and it was only 0191. So we decided to explore genting for awhile and snap some photos while waiting for our turn to check in.

First World Hotel

I was complaining no air-con when i saw how "awesome" our deluxe room was but then i soon came to find out that we didn't need the air-con. It was freezing!

My favourite ride - The flying coaster!

Pirate Ship - you're on camera!
I didn't sit the pirate ship cause i thought it was going to go 360 but it didn't... baaa... cause i hate 360. At least i got to snap some happy adrenaline rushed faces.

First World Hotel. Love the colours
When i look at the exterior of the hotel, it gave me a good impression that the hotel won't be that bad. Especially the room i booked was called the DELUXE ROOM. Sounds nice right?? Well....

Our DELUXE ROOM tv.
You can figure out how big was our room...

The Genting Bus Transport
I almost puked myself in the bus cause the road was so winding and it never stopped turning left and right while going downhill. Had slight nausea but Thank God i made it through. A guy behind me puked and the stench of his vomit was contagious.... Phewww.

This was an awesome trip. A good 2 days one night stay.  But more than two days would be a bore.

Miracle Post

It certainly is a miracle that i can post this new post in my blog right now. I thought i was a goner because i just found out that the due date payment for my internet bill was 19 October which is way past already. I was looking for the bill a few days ago but couldn't find it and somehow i forgotten i had to pay it. Who knows i found it today under sheets of paper.

SUDDENLY, just few minutes ago, the data LED on the router disappeared and i thought i'm a goner because my housemate had to do his lab report, and i won't be home to pay the internet bill this two days because i'll be going to genting. In my heart i was like dam dam dam... and i was also silently crying to God. I tried using my neighbour's internet but then public bank's payment system is closed and would reopen from 6am - 12am. So it kinda suck. Who knows... when i came back, sat in my room waiting for another great day tomorrow, the data LED came back! And that's why it seemed like a miracle for me to even post this. So yea... thank God Tmnet was slow in blocking my internet. For once, i felt grateful to Tmnet.

Can't wait to go genting =) Goodnight people, sweet dreams, sleep tight and God bless everyone. Wheee

A little for today

Today i can finally relax without any tension of assignments crawling behind my back. So i was just enjoying one of my favourite korean girl group performing in a football stadium.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAnNgx-6Ehk < ------- Can check out their football performance dance here in HD!!!

I never really like girls who tend to portray cuteness but i think this group somehow attracts me. Love to watch their korean series as well.

Something happened just now... When i was in the kitchen refilling my bottle, i heard my housemate shouted, i turned to look wassup and saw that my indian housemate took off his pants and showed his "you know wat" to my other housemates. What insanity!!! I didn't catch a glimpse of his manlihood but by just looking at my housemates disgusted faces and comments, i could somehow picture what it looked like. Nightmares tonight. Haha

Alex : It looks like a trunk!!!
Zac : It was very bushy!!!

Medal of Honor 2010

This is one of those game i would spend the whole day just to finish it as soon as possible cause i love first-person shooter games such as Call of duty series and now that medal of honor has taken itself to a whole new level, i decided to buy the game and play.

It's kinda similar to Call of duty but just different settings. Unfortunately, i find some parts kinda frustrating and not as good looking as call of duty. So i give it a 6/10. But it would help me kill my time for now. I plan to finish the game soon.

I thought the poster of the game was rather unrealistic with a twist of coolness (the man standing like in crysis).

Far different from the call of duties posters which are more based on realism. Not really a good game to play, but it's always exciting to see how the story unfolds unpredictably.

Feeling Stress-free

JUSCO *I had to take a picture of this*

Today i woke up early for church cause i had duty to play the bass guitar. Enjoys every moment of serving. Then after church, i suddenly realised... OMG!!!! I basically had nothing to do and i was 100% sure i'm bored. Before this, all the assignments kept me accompany and i sure have to say now that i miss assignments. HAHA. Well, the day was great because i hanged out with some of my church mates, Abigail, Bryan and Eric. After much pestering and finding people to hang out with.

We had our lunch near our church at the Blue Dragon where they had delicious tomyam soup, one of the best i've drank so far... The owner is from Thailand so you know how Thai people are very specific about spiciness. Nevertheless, the food came and now my tummy is feeling slightly weird with some tomyam sensation pulling my inner guts. I thank God for good food. =)

Later on, Bryan said he wanted to go "kai kai" (walk walk), so Abigail drove us around and we ended up in Jusco! Had McFlurry Milo (Limited Edition) thanks to Bryan for treating me and i got a keyboard protector for my laptop. Had to change cause there were holes in my previous protector. After walking around, got tired we went home. So yea, i had to ask Abigail to stop so i could take a picture of the Jusco sign for my blog.

Having LSS (Last Song Syndrome) of Lenka - The Show. This song was stuck in my head few days ago and i didn't know wat the song title was. I know now so i'm listening to it now.

Had a wonderful day today.

Lost and confused

It took me basically 5 weeks to finish this. Last two weeks were Monday to Friday full day 9.30am - 6pm in studio sculpting this little fella. I'm happy with my work. =) Hope you find it awesome too.

My Life is WONDERFUL

Ahh yes, the title says it all. I sometimes don't get why some people always tend to complain and frustrate about their own life. They just can't see the other side of life. And so they waste their time being discouraged in everything they do.

Just open your eyes and see that if ur always being happy about ur life, u'll save urself so much time and effort. So i was being in the studio recently day till night trying hard to finish my clay model. Just finished the colour profile for my character and just started to paint today. It's been a tiring day but it's still awesome. I'll upload the picture of my artwork as soon as i get it done. Although i ain't very please with my model due to lack of creativity and unattractive colours, i still love it because all effort was put into it.

Sometimes i do envy my friends who have bright ideas where they can create cute pixar-like characters and still find suitable fitting colour profiles. I got lots of criticism from my lecturers and would strife to improve. One thing i realised about animators, we tend to go on hyper-mode when stress. We do crazy stuff. I even wanted to push my friend who was sitting on a wheel chair across the corridor and of course passing through classrooms and ppl. HAHAHAHA. Animators tend to release stress differently.

Enough of the talking, here are some progression pictures of my model. XD
